Creating a goal

We recommend associating a goal with an event that tracks user behavior within your web app. Therefore, before taking the step to create a goal, make sure you are sending the event or user property to Userpilot

Check the Events document for more on sending tracked events or feature tags (no-code events).

Creating a Goal

Tracking your goal adoption is a simple two-step process. Navigate to the Goals page by clicking on Growth Insights > Goals

1. Click "Create Goal" then give your desired goal a name, description, and definition

To define a goal, add the criteria that would apply to a user that completed the goal. For example, a goal would be that a user publishes an email campaign after creating one, therefore the goal will track the users that achieved that event:

2. Click on "Track" to enable the Goal and start tracking data live.

Note: Once a goal is active you cannot edit the criteria afterward to guarantee the data is accurate.

3. Link a Goal to a Flow (Optional)

We recommend that a goal is linked to a flow that has a certain objective. For example, you can create a flow to show users how to create an email campaign and you can select its goal to be that it gets published.

Why are the Goal analytics lower than they were before the update?
