This release adds reliable deep-link and custom URL scheme handling for experience previews and push taps, improves autocapture privacy composition for nested subtrees, and updates the pinned Userpilot native SDKs, along with related fixes and documentation. ✨ Features
  • Added didHandleURL so apps can forward React Native Linking URLs for experience previews and push-notification deep links.
  • Queued deep links that arrive before or during setup so they are handled after initialization completes.
  • Allowed nested privacy wrappers to opt a subtree back into interaction capture or restore unredacted text.
  • Applied the in-app browser option on iOS as well as Android.
🐛 Bug Fixes
  • Prevented a failed setup from swallowing the host app’s own deep links.
  • Kept URL handling usable after a failed re-setup when an earlier setup had already succeeded.
  • Resolved deep links correctly when no Activity was forwarded on Android.
  • Fixed the iOS in-app browser configuration call site so the option applies correctly.

  • Updated the Userpilot native SDK dependencies to iOS 1.3.0 and Android 1.3.0.
🛠 Migration
  1. Upgrade @userpilot/react-native to 1.2.0, run pod install under ios/, and clean-rebuild Android (native SDKs → 1.3.0).
  2. Prefer Userpilot.didHandleURL(url) for new integrations.
  3. Wire both Linking.getInitialURL() (cold start) and Linking.addEventListener('url', …) (warm links). Register the listener before awaiting setup(), and do not gate handlers on the setup promise.
  4. Register the Userpilot custom URL scheme (userpilot-<APP_TOKEN>). See the React Native and Expo URL scheme guides in the repo docs.
  5. Remove any Android calls to the deleted static handleIntent entry point.
  6. Existing didHandleIntent call sites still compile on 1.2.0; plan to move them to didHandleURL.
  7. Privacy wrappers remain drop-in compatible. Optionally use nested ignore={false} / redact={false} for carve-outs inside a masked subtree.
⚠️ Deprecations
  • Userpilot.didHandleIntent(...) is deprecated. Use Userpilot.didHandleURL(url) instead. A 1.x compatibility shim remains (Android may still accept a push-payload map; iOS always returns false). Removal is planned for a future major release.
